Summer Gardening & Nature Play for Tweenies

We are delighted that Ros Marshall has kindly volunteered to organise a three-week programme on Tuesday mornings for children aged 2-5 years (with a parent/carer) to come and play in the community garden.  You are welcome to attend one or all of the sessions.

Tuesday 3, 10 & 17 July 10-12:30

at Royal Edinburgh Community Garden, Myreside Rd.

There will be opportunities to explore the garden, take part in garden activities and play with natural materials.

Bring a picnic lunch and we can all eat together at 12 noon.

These sessions are free but places are limited.  Please ring or e-mail Ros Marshall for availability:

(0131) 346 0100

Ros is an experienced nursery and forest schools teacher.  She also is a botanist and keen gardener with her own allotment.  If your child is comfortable, parents/carers can explore the community garden and do a spot of gardening or just relax (but please stay within the garden grounds).

I had a lovely morning in the community gardens with my 2 kids doing some nature play and gardening. favourites were: climbing a tree, throwing stones in puddles, digging, making a mud caterpillar… Thank you Ros for a lovely and relaxed morning. My kids loved it.
