Whitmuir Farm Visit 14th August

Tuesday 14th August 10-1pm

An exclusive tour of Whitmuir farm; this is a local organic farm, bakery and butchery .

Make a bread roll, meet the free range chickens, turkeys, Tamworth pigs, cows and sheep.

We’ll be leaving Shandon at around 9:20 and driving 16 miles (35 minutes) to Whitmuir Farm, just past Penicuik off the A701.

Bring some money as there is also an art gallery and a lovely shop selling a wide range of organic, eco-friendly and fair trade products including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, bread, tea, washing up liquid, cotton clothes and gifts.

This is a great treat for the family before the kids go back to school.  The farm owners Heather and Pete have a wealth of knowledge and passion for farming organically which promise to make the visit educational too.

ONLY £5/£7.50 for child/adult.  Drink and a burger from the barbeque provided.   We will be using our own cars as coach options look expensive.
No CAR?  We are hiring a 15 seater minibus and still have 4 spaces available (as of 17 July).  The transport cost is £4 for the first place and £3 per person thereafter.  The minibus will pick up from Phoenix Club on Harrison Place at 9:15.  Update 07 August: a family have cancelled so spaces available on the minibus.
Please book with Sue McKendrick as places limited.
