Nature Play and Gardening for Tweenies: 21 August 2012‏

After the successfull pilot of the Nature play and gardening for tweenies, it has been decided to continue this club.  The club will be run by Margon van Tuyl, who has a conservation background and has run conservation projects for young people for many years.

The Nature play will start again on Tuesday 21 August at the Royal Community gardens, Myreside Road from 10-12. (12.30 incl lunch) and will run during term time. The sessions will be run as a drop in, and a £1 donation will be asked for.  This will go towards purchase of tea, coffee, resources and equipment.

The format will be the same as before, with some nature play followed by a gardening or nature activity.  Please bring a packed lunch if you want to stay for lunch afterwards. For the first couple of weeks, could you bring a basket and a watering can, as equipment still needs to be purchased.  We will be able to borrow ropes, tarpaulin and a hammock. We are planning some fund-raising events to purchase more equipment.

Please feel free to contact Margon if you have any questions: margon.van-tuyl@virgin.net.

  1. This is fantastic to see, I also run nature play workshops in Edinburgh for young children so it is great to see more nature play happening. I would be keen to get involved if there is anyway I could help out!
