Whitmuir Farm Visit 28th October

Sunday 28th October

An exclusive tour of Whitmuir farm followed by lunch in the only Scottish restaurant where all the food is organic.  This local farm grows a range of fruit and vegetables.  There are also free range chickens, turkeys, Tamworth pigs, Galloway cattle, bakery, and butchery.

The Witmuir Menu caters for different needs including vegetarian, gluten-free and kids.

We’ll be leaving Shandon at around 10 am and driving 16 miles (35 minutes) to Whitmuir Farm, just past Penicuik off the A701.  Hope to arrive in time for coffee at about 10:35 and followed by a tour of the farm at 11 am.  We’ll head home after lunch.

There is also an art gallery and a lovely shop selling a wide range of organic, eco-friendly and fair trade products including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, bread, tea, washing up liquid, cotton clothes and gifts.

The farm owner Pete has a wealth of knowledge and passion for farming organically which promise to make the visit educational too.

No CAR?  We’ll try to coordinate some car-sharing so please get in touch if you need or can offer a lift.

Please book with Beccy as places limited:   beccybrooks@yahoo.co.uk or phone 0131 346 1500.
